Almost Sunrise is a feature-length documentary from acclaimed director Michael Collins and producer Marty Syjuco ("Give Up Tomorrow"). Currently in post-production, the film is slated for PBS broadcast in 2016.  

Almost Sunrise is the hopeful journey of a young ex-soldier who battles the moral injuries of war -- and the temptation to escape them through suicide – as he embarks on a trek across America. Step by step, Tom confronts the demons that haunt him, while discovering the power of community to heal him. 

These images were taken on the last day of Tom's trek, with his soldier buddy Anthony, a 2,700 mile journey that finished on the shore of the Pacific Ocean.
